I had a disappointing experience with Elightcabs, Trivandrum, due to unprofessional conduct from their management at the end of trip.
I booked a cab on 12th Jan for travel from 28th Jan to 2nd Feb (6 days, 1100 km) and paid an advance of ₹5000. The receipt clearly mentioned these details, and the full itinerary was shared in advance.
During the trip, the booking duration on the receipt was altered by Matthew (Elightcabs) from 6 days to 5 by striking out the original entry, without discussion or notification.
At the end of the trip at Madurai airport, an additional ₹5800 was demanded, and our luggage was withheld until payment.
I had to call Police at the airport. They reviewed to the situation, warned Mathew for his behavior, and clearly told us not to pay any extra money. Only after this driver returned our luggage.
This kind of behavior of forging receipt, last-minute threats, and trying to extract money under pressure of missing flight is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional.
That said, I want to be fair:
- Driver Nibil was polite, kind, and professional throughout the trip.
- The car was clean and well maintained.
Unfortunately, the management behavior completely overshadows the good service provided by the driver.
I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious and ensure everything is documented and verified if booking with this service.

It was an amazing experience dealing with ELIGHT CABS. I booked a Thar for one month, and the whole process was super convenient. I recently had two very different experiences with car rentals in Trivandrum. First, I dealt with Apple Cars, and it was unfortunately a very bitter experience. The staff Vivek, Shankar & Abhilash (sorry to say they are not staffs, felt like local goons) there were incredibly arrogant and dismissive; they lacked basic professional courtesy and made the whole process feel like a burden rather than a service.
Thankfully, I switched to Elight Cars, and the difference was night and day. I want to give a huge compliment to Ms. Anju for her excellent service. Her excellent dealing and professional attitude were a breath of fresh air. She was transparent, polite, and handled everything with total integrity.
If you want to be treated with respect and ensure a smooth, honest transaction, skip the arrogance at Apple Cars and go straight to Elight Cabs—make sure to ask for Ms. Anju and Team.

I had an excellent experience with this car rental service. The booking process was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. The car was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Pickup and drop-off were smooth and efficient, with no hidden fees or surprises. I had a great experience with Elightcab when I rented their Maruti Swift. The car was clean, well-maintained, and in excellent condition. The team was very professional throughout the process.
Rahul, who delivered the car to our place of stay and later came to pick it up, was polite, punctual, and courteous. The office team also responded promptly to all my messages, which made communication smooth and easy.
I accidentally caused a small dent on the side of the car, and I was pleasantly surprised that they charged only a fair and reasonable amount for the repair — no hidden or inflated costs.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with their service and would definitely recommend Elightcab to anyone looking for reliable and professional car rentals.
